Leasing in PersonIt's easy for you to view our properties. Just call (213) 663-3023 and make an appointment to meet us at your convenience. If you are not in the Los Angeles area, you can arrange for a trusted friend to come instead.
Please remember that we need to notify our current renters at least a day in advance. You wouldn't want us walking in on YOU unannounced!
Once you decide to rent from us, you can fill out our 2-page application form in person, or you can fill it out online. Click here for the interactive form.
Please print out both pages of the completed application, initial the first page, and sign the second page. If two or more people are applying to rent together, each applicant must submit a separate application.
Now you need to send us your application and the application fee - $20 per person – which is non-refundable. There are three ways you can do this:
The fast way – in person.
You can apply as soon as you've seen the property, or you can call later and make an appointment to return.
You will need to bring your completed application, and a government-issued identification document that bears your photograph and signature, such as a driver's license or passport. You will also need to bring the $20 (cash) application fee, which is non-refundable. If you do not have a U.S. Social Security Number, you will need to bring a document proving your attendance at USC, such as an official acceptance letter.
We will process your application on the spot, and prepare the Lease Agreement and House Rules for you to sign. You will then need to pay your security deposit, which is equal to one month's rent. Once we have the signed agreement and security deposit, the process is complete. Congratulations on your new home!
The other fast way – by email or fax.
Please scan or photograph your signed application and email it as an attachment to: firstname.lastname@example.org. Or fax it to 213-749-8151.
You will also need to send a copy of a government-issued identification document that bears your photograph and signature, such as a driver's license or passport. At the same time, you will need to send us your non-refundable application fee, which is $20.00. You may do this instantly through Paypal. Our Paypal account is email@example.com. Please indicate which house, apartment or room you are applying for. Paypal will automatically email you a receipt.
The slow way – by mail:
You can also mail us your completed application form, along with a copy of your identification document and a check or money order for the $20 fee. Please make out your payment to “Robinson Residences” and mail it to:

We do not recommend this method because of the risk that someone else will complete the application process before your mailed application arrives. It's important to notify us if you are applying by mail.
We process applications quickly and will notify you of the result. We do not expect university students to have much credit, if any, but we run credit checks because, very rarely, we meet a student whose record indicates financial irresponsibility.
Once we approve your application, we will email you copies of your Lease Agreement and House Rules. You will need to print and sign both documents, and return them to us. You will also need to send us your security deposit, equal to one month's rent. You may send this the fast way (Paypal) or the slow way (a check by mail).
Once we receive your signed documents and security deposit, we will countersign the documents and email (or mail) a copy back to you. The process is then complete.
PLEASE NOTE: Once you have decided to rent from us, we recommend acting as quickly as possible. Remember that all our rental units will continue to be advertised and available – first come, first served – until the leasing process is complete.
